I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
